ISVS, the International Seminar on Vernacular Settlements, organized by the International Society for the Study of Vernacular Settlements is a movement of confluences that take place every two years with the intention of promoting research into Vernacular Settlements.
In so doing, it envisages to contribute to the knowledge of vernacular settlements around the world and establish the meaningfulness, and relevance of vernacular traditions, and cultural practices in the contemporary world.
Those who participate in ISVS seminars become members of the society and contribute to its development. ISVS organised the ISVS seminars publishes academic publications, a Scopus accredited journal titled, ISVS E-Journal.
